>>Super Cruiser continues to sell well.

This waveski suits so many riders for so many different reasons.....It is easy to paddle, paddling out through the surf is a breeze, catching and surfing waves is again easy and fun, it turns well and has ample floatation to suit most riders, plus it comes fitted with our Adjustable 'Footpod' which ensures any size of rider will fit this ski. (from kids to tall adults)

Learning to waveski has never been easier. The Super Cruiser is aimed at the Beginner/Recreational paddler/surfer and is a waveski the whole family can enjoy.

It is versatile and a great intro to waveski surfing....Many riders coming off SOT's like the Five-'O' love this model.

>>>'Air Ski Adjustor' System is magic.

It's been a few years since we first released the 'Air-Ski Adjustor Concept'.

All around the globe Beginner to Experienced wave ski surfers have been riding and tuning their new Air-Ski's. From NZ to Australia, Hawaii, in the USA and Europe the Adjustor Concept has been a hit with waveski surfers.

With our simple and easy to use seat and foot adjustment system.....the customer now has a much greater level of control on how they want their waveski set-up for themselves and friends.

Poor leg length fit and difficult re-sale problems associated with standard waveskis have all but gone.

>>>Cruza Model

Our most popular 'Custom Air-Ski' has been the Cruza Model due to it's simple stable fun approach to waveski surfing.

The Cruza Models are aimed at the Intermediate waveskier who wants great wave riding performance combined with an easy balance.

Fun being the key point............. Sizes ranging from 7'4" up to 8'6"

>>>Performance Airski

Performance Air-Ski range of shapes hit the mark

Tony Cherry reckons a huge increase in performance on the 'Airski' ... compared to previous boards he has owned and says he is surfing better than he ever has ....he is very happy.!!

Bad Billy is a happy man too, with his new 'Waka' Moulded Airski ... the weight conscious Billy decided to go slightly wider and also (surprisingly) took the heavier but stronger construction option... he has dialed the ski in quickly and says.../."I've never had a board as good as the one. I'm riding now". His surfing is showing some whip-ass again!
"Being able to tune every ounce of performance from my ski using the Air-ski Adjustor system makes a big difference. Good/personalized positioning on my ski and perfect posture lets me push my own boundaries with gear I trust."
Having owned over 50 boards between us over the last 20 yrs we can say this with confidence.

Waveski Design isn't just about fixtures and seats and footpads. Once your waveski hits the water you need to know the shape, rocker, plan shape, buoyancy and general design will suit your level of competence and is well designed. This is what Tsunami does best.

Tsunami has a range to suit all riders and abilities.

>>>New Hi-Tech moulded range nearly ready to ship.

Brentt testing the 'Waka' at Muriwai beach, NZ

The new range will include high performance and mid performance 'Cruza' models.

First off the line will be a high performance 240cm x 64cm model nick-named the "Waka" . Originally designed for bigger surf, it also surfs incredibly well in smaller waves.

The Waka comes fitted with the full 'Airski Adjustor' set-up (Adjustable seatpod and footpods).

This board has a sleek pintail shape with lower volume rails for clean lines and a harder snap in the turn. The double concave hull design gives more lift, speed and good rail to rail transition in a range of wave conditions.

Designed to suit intermediate paddlers up to 85kg and experienced paddlers up to 95kg.

Construction options will include a choice of carbon/kevlar or fibreglass over PVC foam skins for lightness and durability.

>>>Just back from the World Waveski Surfing Titles held at Emerald Beach, NSW, Australia.

It was a fabulous event and very well run.

The surf was fair to good and the weather was great.

Team Tsunami did well with a 4th place in the Open (Tony Cherry) and a 3rd place in the Womens (Heather Seaton)...Congrats to you both and thanks for all the effort!

Gotta say... the real winner was the sport of Waveski Surfing....most countries left with a win, everybody made a friend, the Cadets and Juniors showed us we should be afraid, the french were... as usual brilliant, Rees Duncan (sen) pulled the 'rabbit out of the hat' for a 1st even with a broken wing (dislocated shoulder), the women were strong and I don't believe there was one cross word all week. The World body voted to align with the Canoe fed and the New Age star Andre Burger met some hot young Aussie girl. Even Neil Dekka showed up to have a drink..ha!

Thanks to everyone for a top show.

...Team Tsunami.

'Cruza' Model Airski off to Aussie.

This Big Boy Cruza is heading to Aussie. The owner is flying in to pick it up...he's very keen especially as here in New Zealand this week we have had snow and hail 300mm deep all over some beaches..it's sorta cold ! They are snowboarding on the beach#!

Cruza specs......8'3" x 27.5"

>>>Team Tsunami wins 1st US Open and 1st US Seniors.

Tony pulling off an 'aerial/flick' move

Tony Cherry pulled two out of the hat and clinched 1st in the Open class and also 1st in the Senior division of the US Open Waveski Surfing Competition recently held at Ventura California. USA.

The competition was superbly run, the weather and surf were great and the whole vibe was A++. We are going again!

Thanks go to Brian, Roy, Roger, Warren, John, Mark, Mat and the ASP judges, Shaggy and all the others that made this possible. Great job !!

It was great to see the other classes of boat competing (Finless California / Merv and the kayaks) We do not get these in NZ and clearly it is our loss.

Tony setting up for the next move

Tony, Alexander and Steve waiting for the next heat.

Fletcher and Tony.....close call in the final with this crossover.

>>>Tsunami NZ gets Autoclave.

Finally we have been able to afford the expense of getting an Autoclave. Size wise it is approx 5m x 1.5m and well suited to work on waveskis, kayaks and other boards. Cycle programmes in this vessel could see us doing 2-3 at the same time. We used this vessel some years ago and when the chance presented to get it for our factory we thought...new car and holiday or 'dirty old tank'....we'll be driving the old car for a while and the holiday has been binned...such is life.

Generally these tanks/vessels are very costly to buy and run, so are mainly used for high end stuff like defense items, masts and in the aviation industry.

We have been very lucky to get this at an affordable cost and are looking forward to producing some high end pre-preg carbon waveskis and kayaks using this pressure vessel.

FYI.... Autoclaves are used in the composites industry to consolidate and cure the laminate. This is done in the tank using heat (up to 200 celcius) and pressure (up to 90psi)

Our aim will be to make tougher and lighter product using resins,pre-pregs,carbon,etc.. that you just can't use in day to day temperatures and conditions found in the regular factory.

More news updates to come as we get this operational .
